    FOUNDER & HEAD COACH

    I bring over five years of experience as a Division 1 beach volleyball player to this club. Currently serving as the Varsity Assistant Coach and the JV Head Coach for the Fort Walton Beach High School Indoor Volleyball Program. As a four-year varsity letterman from Crestview High School, my coaching journey has deep roots in the local community and I understand the importance of building a strong foundation for young athletes. I am committed to fostering their growth on and off the sand.

  • Melanie Marchena

    HEAD COACH

    With four years of high school ball, two years of club sand volleyball, and four years of D3 college ball, I've honed my skills and passion for the game. Transitioning into coaching, I've had the privilege of leading two travel teams and am now the Head Indoor Volleyball Coach at Fort Walton Beach High School. My volleyball journey began in the sand and quickly became a significant part of my life. I'm deeply passionate about nurturing the next generation's love for the game and believe in the importance of building a strong foundation in this sport.

At Gold Standard, our mission is to nurture the passion for beach volleyball among juniors on the breathtaking Emerald Coast. We are dedicated to creating a supportive and dynamic environment where young athletes can grow their skills and develop into exceptional volleyball players.

Our focus is on providing high-quality coaching and opportunities for competitive play, all aimed at helping our juniors reach their full potential in the sport they love. We are committed to instilling values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and dedication, which will serve our players well not only on the sand but also in life beyond the court.

We aspire to guide our juniors toward the next level of their volleyball journey, whether that be collegiate, professional, or simply a lifelong love for the game. Together, we strive to build a strong foundation of excellence, embodying the spirit of the Emerald Coast's vibrant beach volleyball community.
